OYA (Washington, DC)
After working with the creative and innovative owners of SEI Sushi Lounge, we were asked to set our sights on their next project, the revamp of OYA. This project took an entire summer of working late nights as the restaurant stayed open during the day. The owner wanted to keep the palette stark and clean with elements of touch brought in everywhere. The walls and ceilings were upholstered in white crocodile and our signature 3D damask pattern. What a stunning wall this is up close and in person!
We treated many of the walls in the same finish using different scales and different treatments to the patterns ranging from black and white to silver-leaf over hot pink. Five feet tall damasks line the back hallway to create an enveloping confectionery dream
It feels as though you are walking through a wedding cake.
Massive installments of white roses, crystals floating in epoxy, and chains hanging from the ceiling can be found throughout the restaurant breaking up walls and allowing all guests to be surrounded by sensuous innovation and elegance accompanied with glamour and sophistication all at the same time!
