Basic Fine Art Painting
Level: All Skill Levels
Instructor: Mellissa Shatto
Learn a unique approach to observational painting with a strong emphasis on color. Students will investigate how to recreate a still life in paint with the option to pursue classical realism or self expression as they desire. Techniques discussed include accurate drawing, color theory, and when to allow the paint to be paint. Students choose to work in either acrylic or oils.

Portrait Painting

Cabinet and Furniture Refinishing

Venetian Plaster 101
Level: Beginner

Venetian plastering 101 is recommended for those with little or no experience who are interested in learning the basics of this ancient Northern Italian plaster art form. Class will focus on modern techniques, as well as tools and preparation. Learn how to create sophisticated Venetian plaster that can be applied to walls and ceilings. Students will leave the class with sample boards they have created themselves.

Sculpture II
Level: Intermediate
Instructor: Atif Khan
Students will be encouraged to create sculptures of creatures and figures pulled out of their own subconscious. As the sculpture develops, the mythology of the piece will also be developed. Using the vast array of art materials on hand at O'neill studios, anything and everything will be possible. Upon completion, students will be encouraged to share their thoughts and stories with the rest of the class.
